College & University

Starting higher education can be an exciting yet overwhelming experience for many students as they transition away from their familiar environment, feelings of anxiety can surface, making it difficult to adapt to new academic and social pressures. It’s common for students to experience heightened stress levels as they navigate coursework, build new relationships, and manage their independence. Recognising these feelings and seeking support can be crucial in helping students maintain their mental well-being during this transformative time.

Who can we help?

Seminars can take place within your venue to avoid disruption to yourselves. We find this is more familiar for individual groups that may require that extra reassurance and confidence such as S.E.N students or students struggling with the new environment. These groups could also be made up of new year students  in general, all girl groups the choice is yours. Everyone is welcome and has the right to feel safe.

Sessions are bespoke to suit your requirements. All day seminars can be part discussion as an open forum and part physical demonstrations. Or maybe half day with the basics entirely made to suit your  groups needs.

Please contact us discuss any special requirements and explore how we can best support your group.

If a venue off campus is preferable, this can also be arranged.

Previously in our seminars.....

Having delivered seminars to colleges and universities for many years, the questions raised by students highlighted different issues. How their lifestyle differs from their previous generations. With the added pressures of social media, online bullying they also experience Nightlife, Pubs, Clubs etc. We show them how to be aware of their surroundings, when attacks are likely to begin, de-escalation techniques and above all how to avoid confrontation. Whilst in addition to learning simple effective, easy to remember techniques if things should become physical. Join us in creating a safer and more informed community for the next generation.

"Thank you so much for coming into college. The skills you taught were at an appropriate level and all students remained engaged, whilst having fun throughout the session. A valuable life skills session for all the students that attended."
